German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) The department Augmented Vision (AV) located in Kaiserslautern headed by Prof Dr Didier Stricker is part of the non-profit research centre DFKI with locations in Berlin, Saarbrücken, Bremen and Kaiserslautern. The whole company has more than 500 employees split into several dedicated research groups. Central research topics of the group of Prof Stricker are sensor fusion especially for on-body-sensor networks, augmented reality applications for interactive scenarios and real-time visualization as support for the previously mentioned components.
